Any ideas on how to lengthen short naps?
So LO has 20 minute to 45 minute naps throughout the day. Up until the last 2 weeks it was working okay. He would wake looking refreshed. Happily play for an hour and then go down again for another short nap.
But now he's waking cranky and tired, rubbing his eyes and not settling to go back to sleep. Even if he settles with me rocking he wakes when I put him down. And now I've had a month of waking hourly at night and it's gotten worse in the last 2 weeks. I'm getting no sleep. Beyond exhausted. I'm pretty sure it's because he's not sleeping well in the day?
I've been reading up on shush and pat method - he just gets really really frustrated worked up hysterical and cries. In fact he gets so angry that even when I pick him and give him cuddles afterwards he stays yelling at me, sometimes even if I give him milk he still continues showing he's angry at me!!
Oh and put down drowsy but awake is not real. It doesn't work. It's nonsense. Don't tell me to do it unless you can walk me through it step by step and what to do after my child is hysterical crying and angry at me all day for it afterwards. 😭😭😭😭 help anyone?

@mrsmowmow yup and he was going through leap 3 when things started to get a bit weird. But he's supposed to be in a sunny period atm!

@mrsmowmow but that's the crazy thing even in my arms he won't sleep for more than 30-50 minutes! I was of the same mindset that until 6 months I wouldn't sleep train as I can see he can't self soothe yet. But I'm at my wits end tbh. Especially since night sleeps have gotten so bad too.

@mrsmowmow 😭 I half co-sleep through the night. My issue is my spd from pregnancy hasn't left and sleeping on one side has me in intense pain. Sigh. I know the reality is its a waiting game. He'll hopefully get through it. Was just wondering if I could maybe start some sleep training.
