I'm having a debate at work. When you took the glucose test did you guys fast? Is I mandatory that you fast? I have never heard of this and my dr didn't mention it both pregnancies. I also passed both on the 1st time. So is it certain people are told to fast or was I just not told??

I know I was told to fast before my glucose test.

I was never told to fast until I changed Dr and I still didn't fast and I still passed my test

My appt was at 930 so I was told to eat breakfast at 730 (no sugars etc) then drink the glucose at 830 or 9...can't remember which one.

I didn't have to fast for the 1 hour. They just suggested I eat something high in protein, low carb. I failed all 3 times, but it's not because I ate or what I ate. For my 3 hour test I had to fast, but they made sure to do that first thing in the morning.
