Am I the only one who doesn't plan on piercing my daughter's ears until she's old enough to tell me she wants them? I'm not judging other moms who get them pierced when they're babies, so please don't take it that way. I understand it's easier for them to heal! I just can't fathom it; I cry more than she does when she gets her shots! 😂 Plus my parents waited for me to tell them, and I don't even wear earrings anymore lmao. I also want to be able to take her to a tattoo shop to get them pierced by a professional piercer because piercing guns and Claires are a no-no.

Lol. My dad bought a piercing gun and attempted to pierce my ear. Anyway, I ended up getting my head cut. My mom didn't pierce my ears until I was about 7. She bought me sticker earrings and clip ons for a while

@bonniesue oh no! piercing guns are just so...no. I channel my inner Simon Cowell and say it's a no from me lmao. I think I was about 9 when I got mine done and everything was fine, but when I got my second holes done it got infected because they used a gun (I was like 13) and it wasn't sterile. So I stay far away. Plus they can cause permanent damage!

I'm not letting my daughter or sons ever get their ears pierced until they are 18 because then they are adults and can make their own decisions and it's religious reasons for me, I mean I have my ears pierced but I didn't have a choice because my mom got mine done when I was a baby and then when I was 11 I got them redone and I wasn't old enough to understand and make my own choices so that's why I'm gonna wait until my future kids are 18 so it gives them time to mature enough to make their own choices

and also I haven't had nothing but problems out of my pierced ears they got infected on one side and it got so bad that it moved up to my cartilage and now there is like a painful bump there it's been there ever sense I was 11 cause they used a gun and I've tried to get whatever that bump is out by taking a needle and poking it and then squeezing it and all that came out was blood so I guess its just there permanently
