I need an outside opinion on something....I recently just contacted my biological father that I haven't seen in 10 years, and he's coming down to visit this week. My mom absolutely despises him and would probably "disown" me if she knew that I was even speaking to him again, but I honestly want to leave the past behind us and possibly rekindle a relationship with my real dad. My step dad doesn't even go as far as calling me to see how me or my son are doing, so I'd like to have some kind of father figure. Am I wrong for doing this to her? Should I keep it secret from her? I'm having mixed feelings.

No, u are not wring for wanting to have a relationship with your father. Your mother should be supporting u in the situation. Seems like she's just holding a grudge against him. But u do what makes u happy. If your mom so happens to find out then give her time to herself. But u have every right to live your life how u want. Your not doing anything wrong for wanting a relationship with your father. Your mother shpuld support you and if she gets angry give her time. Do what is going to make you happy and if she can't support you then that's her lost. I hope everything works out with you dad and you get the relationship you want frim him. Good luck mama.
