@beebaby, well my mom is on and off support, but my family is 4 hours away. It's not far, but far enough.

Oh wow @carlitojrmami, my husband has deployed a few times, but we weren't together for those. That's where I'm happy he's in the navy. He will only deploy while on sea duty, then when he goes back to shore duty he won't deploy

So he's fine with it because he knows how it will go. I on the other hand at clueless and I hate the feeling of not knowing
