ok i have a question to ask my son is almost 5 months old will be here on the 21st i have been on the depo shot for 3 months now and my husband and i just did it and i looked at my calander and i am a week past when i was to get my next shot should i be worried? when should i take a test? or will i be ok? my son was my 4th pregnancy

please you are fine dear I did the depo shot in January and I wasn't able to get pregnant til the following January. if you get the shot it takes an average of about 6 months t get out of your system and if you've been on it longer then the average goes up to a year to get it out of your system. so just a week? you are fine dearie and might i suggest you try a different birth control. the shot is really hard on our bodies for me it gave me a period for 4 months straight my husband says I was worse on the shot then when I was pregnant I have the copper iud now and I love it. but your body is different so if the shot works for you great! just find what works best for you and your body :-)

thank you i have been on the shot before but not for a while then got back on it after my son was 6 weeks old
