Moms,
Postpartum depression should be taken seriously. Moms going through severe PPD need our support not criticism and bullying. please use empathy toward other moms who are just trying to be honest. For many moms, we are the only outlet for venting frustrations.
if you think you may have PPD, please contact your doctor immediately. Here's a hotline number for help too 1-800-PPD-MOMS or try 1-800-944-4773 for Postpartum Support International. And you can always message us for additional help.

People are actually being bullied over PPD?! it's not a joke, it's a real thing and I suffer from it. I'm sorry to whoever has been bullied. ❤️

She is a mom who suffers and needs help. She asked about PPD about a month ago and believe it went untreated.

I feel for her but I can't lie and say her post upset me. I have suffered from PPD but I personally never felt kinda the way she did. @studio.ghibli.mom23

people suffer from PPD differently @inked_mommy92

I agree @mdomke22, there are news articles about women with severe ppd that have murdered their kids. There are other women that just cry more often, some feel like they can't get out of bed. It affects everyone differently because everyone is different.

I know that. Hence why I said me personally. lol @mdomke22

@inked_mommy92, I know you probably think the screen shot of her post & directing others to her username is harmless, but it's rly just adding to the drama & that's rly the last thing Niki needs. We all just need to agree to be supportive towards those dealing with PPD whether it's how we experienced things or not. & move on...

I just hope she gets the help she needs for her son sake and her own. Women have even killed themselves over it. @babymaciesmomma @mdomke22

@inked_mommy92, yeh same here but I suffer from anxiety and depression anyway so recently slipping into ppd and finding my way out was hard but I got it it's all about finding and doing what makes you happy

I suffered from ppd after I had my daughter 8 years ago. I didn't know how to love her bcs I was battling some crazy thoughts in my head but I knew that I couldn't give up on her so I tried my best to be better I failed many times but I never gave up on her . I think that being a mom is the hardest job on this planet bcs it means forgetting about yourself and putting someone else's needs above your own over and over again. But let me tell you there is no greater reward than the love that ur child shows you in return ❤️

I had ppd after my son. Divorced my husband, gave him full custody of the baby, and I haven't seen my son since July. It's horrible and not easy. And I'm currently trying to do everything in my power to prevent it after this baby. Everyone's situation is different but ppd and postpartum psychosis are two different things. Anyone who has ppd needs some sort of help so it doesn't escalate. I wish it was taken more seriously and had more healthcare providers and they had more knowledge in it so it never gets brushed off as easily as it does.
