Ladies I'm scared to continue breast feeding. Jace is not doing good with bottles or really with the breast. He dsats really really low when bottle feeding because he forgets to breathe and he just isn't taking to the breast like he should and we have to supplement while breastfeeding anyway. Any advice? I will give it a few more days but it's exhausting pumping and knowing that I may be doing it for nothing.

Have you tried a nipple shield? It may help him but i would ask about that with the nurses see if you can do that don't know if there are any rules or anything but thought i let you know about it.

yup I have had help from a lactation consultant and even she is having a hard time helping :( @lillysmommy

He doesn't have trouble latching. it's the staying on and remembering to breathe part that is making it hard. @lillysmommy
