ladies who have taken paid maternity leave short d..... when did you put the paper work in saying your last day of work and the type od birth etc ? my hr is trying to tell me i have to wait until i leave work to do anytype of paperwork and i never heard if that before i know i wont get funded until im out but i should be able to fo the paperwork since i literally have 6 weeks until my c-section

It depends on a couple different factors. My leave for the state started 4 weeks prior to my due date and I couldn't file paper work until after I was already on leave. As for my leave with my company (starting the day I give birth) I did the paperwork beforehand.

so once you filed did you have to wait weeks before getting anything or you got funded right away ? So you did it with the state and through your job ? Why ?
