I had nextgen done. Make sure you ask how much it is so you don't pay something outrageous! Mine was 25 dollars and I got the results on the 6th business day and wasn't billed for it until two months later.

@nikjax53, it's where they take your blood to test the genetics of the baby for like Down syndrome, gender and etc.

Make sure you ask about the cost. Mine was covered by insurance but would have cost $2,500.

Nextgen isn't covered by insurance at all so it was 25 out of pocket. I guess the doctor's office covers the rest for me. I hope it's cheap for you. Not only for the genetic results but also for the sex of the baby!

What is SUA? I think oh have to be high risk/family history for chromosomal and other birth defects, but your OB will definitely know if you are covered!
