Any moms travel long distance in a car while late in pregnancy. Im making the trek to Florida from Ohio solo next week and ill be 36 weeks pregnant. Im making a pit stop for a couple days in Tennessee where my dad lives but ive read so many things about blood clots and docs recommend no travel over an hour after you hit your 36 week mark. Theres no getting around this trip and i have a doc appt this thursday before i leave. I just wanted some input if any moms have done this before and what the experience was like. Any feedback is appreciated.

I planned on getting some compression hose, and making stops cause lord knows im gonna be peeing a lot.

When you make your stops, just make sure to stretch well especially your calves and you should be okay.

i drive daily to work in miami traffic.eventhough..i live 20 min from my job.takes 1 hour to 1 hr 30 min.daily def not comfortable..Your driving alone be safe...i wouldn't do that in these last weeks

I wish i didnt have to, but im in a very difficult situation in ohio. My sons father kicked me out a couple weeks ago and no family here in ohio so im moving back to florida to be with family.

@kalollipop1983, sorry to hear that..drive safe take lots of water.snacks and if you feel sleepy at all pullover better to take your time getting there..oh i thought i meant driving back and forth wish u well
