Breastfeeding😭. Please someone tell me it gets easier. I'm only on day 2 and my nipples feel like…

I didn't breastfeed due to medical reasons so I can't say much but have you tried nipple cream or shields x

@gabilicious, yeah been putting lots of nipple cream but have yet to try the shields. I've got some so night give them a go after a few days. Really want to stick at it but it's so bloody painful x

does your little one have a tongue tie? That's makes it harder to breastfeed and it can be quite painful depending on how severe the tongue tie is. my LO is tongue tied and I managed to feed him myself for 4 weeks to get his immunity up and then I had to stop because it hurt so much x

It will be hard Hun but you'll get there x

I only lasted a week, I wish I could of gone longer but I was bleeding :-( X

@lukesmummy2016, no she doesn't luckily. I really don't want to stop but if it carrys on being this bad I don't know how long I'll last 😖 x

it is hard but you can do it. and there's always expressing too, I found that was more comfortable :-) x

@missy84, stick with it!! It really dose get easier :) I went though the same as you but now my little girl 5 Weeks and it so much better x

@missy84, The lanolin nipple cream works great also the medela nipple sheild got me through the first two week of breastfeeding. After that It was alot better and 5 months after I'm still breastfeeding.

It does get easier I promise I have breastfed 3 of my babies and overcame nipple thrush bleeding nipples and cracked sore nipples it's toe curling but it gets easier by day 5 just stick with it and you will love it pm me if you need someone to talk to or advice I'm always here lol xx

@mummy1984, thank you it's nice to know that it gets easier. I nearly cried last night coz it was only day 2 and I felt like a failure 😥 coz it was hurting so much xx

@id6550101, thank you. I got a few tubes of it all over the house so been using it regularly but little monkey is not so keen on the smell/taste 😒. Was not by the midwife not to use nipple shields but if this carries on I might have to as I don't want to give up x
