DANGER AT WORK. HELP? Working as a Behaviorist can get very dangerous for me and my bump. I work with Developmentally Disabled adults who are self injurious and physically aggressive. I'm the interventionist so I'm always the one to get called for a crisis. At my appointment today, my doctor was very concerned and suggested I get put on disability throughout my whole pregnancy. She even wrote a safety letter for my boss. Has anyone on here been involved in something similar?

I know. In my gut I get awful feelings about working there as the pregnancy moves along. But also since its a supervisor position I feel like I'm letting people (including my boss) down. Do you know what I mean? I'm so dumb but I'm trying to find it in me to be strong enough to tell him what I need to do @vamommy89 @beebaby

That's so true. I'm going to speak with my doctor to write to Medicaid this week. @beebaby thank you for the support 💕

I work with people with autism and my bf didn't want me to work at all but never once has any one of my clients been aggressive towards me. it's hard when you feel like people rely on you in this type of field but it'll you think they could do something to harm baby then do what is best!!

I work with autistic children and some are so severe that they bite, kick, hit, etc... I've been hit plenty of times but always try to protect my belly. I see my doctor on Thursday. I'm going to talk to him about it.
