This is my first pregnancy and I'm so worried about knowing when I need to go to the hospital I don't know how bad I should let contractions get before I go I've already been 2 times over false alarms and once over not getting his kick counts in and I hate hospitals so I really don't want to go and go through the whole procedure of getting checked and all the such for it to be nothing. So I need advice on when I will know that I'm for real in labor!

When you can't speak or move when you contract or if they get close together, talk to your Dr. they will let you know.

contractions 3-5 minutes apart...mine lasted about a minute, would stop for around 4 minutes & start back up..really intense cramping. plus my baby was super active, more than ever.

I am in the same boat as you... although I haven't went in yet. j just figured when the pain is unbearable or I feel like I need pain meds I'll go in.
