Is it weird that I'm almost 20 weeks into my pregnancy and haven't really felt the baby move yet?

I didn't feel my son move until about 23 weeks.

This is my first and I'm so excited. I was getting nervous because sometimes I feel like there may be some movement, but it turns out to just be gas. I have to ask though, what is an anterior placenta?

I have anterior placenta too meaning placenta is in front so it's a barrier between your baby and your tummy so it's harder to feel their movements. I'm 21 weeks tomorrow and barely feel him grazing across. Like a finger lightly touching almost. Can't wait to feel an "official move"!

That could explain why it's hard for the nurse to find a heartbeat some days, right? I'll be 20 weeks officially on Tuesday, and on the 12th I get my sonogram so I'm hoping to know a gender then!!
