Considering asking my mom to watch the baby when she retires in the spring. My only concern is she smokes in her house and I don't know that she would stop if I asked her to. She smoked around me and my siblings growing up so it's normal to her. On the other hand, I know babies get sick in daycare all the time. Trying to decide on what's the lesser evil? Any thoughts?

day care is good to teach kids how to interact with other kids and learn a schedule and prepare for school

That's my main debate @beebaby, I would feel so much more comfortable with him being around someone we trust. She wants to cut back/quit smoking. So may be worth asking and give some motivation for her to kick the habit.

I'm on the fence about daycares too. My nephew is 19 months and learned so much from daycare. But he also learned how to throw tantrums lol and is sick constantly. I'm thinking about an in home nanny or alternating with my fiance. Unless he or I can work at home... Idk
