i have. the first test they give u isn't positive. it probability. basically saying for your age a certain amount of woman have kids with down syndrome and out of that number your child is "blank". for example if it was 77/1800 then every 77th kid would most likely have down syndrome. they told me my next option was to go see a genetic counselor in which i did. she told me that i have 2 options. one was another blood test that would show 97% positivity and the other was amniocentesis which is 100% positive but has a risk of miscarriage. I chose just the blood test which came back negative .

Did you have an amniocentesis? I think those tests can give false positives sometimes. If the baby does have Down's syndrome I promise it's not as scary as it seems! I used to work with kids with developmental disabilities and they were perfect. Way more love to give.

thank you all, and I do know that my baby will still be beautiful. I also just feel like I will be overwhelmed, due to lack of support, and two other children. I am trying to stay positive. I have my genetic counseling next week and then I prefer blood work I don't like the risk of miscarriage
