Does anyone have any advice for dad's and taking care of baby? Alex did not have a good day with Edith and I don't want him to be discouraged :/ he doesn't know how to calm her down, he'll just let her cry and cry. Obviously I can't help if I'm at work, and what works for me with calming her down may not work for him. I'm just not sure how else to help him, I have no problems calming her down. Her crying also doesn't bother me like it does him. I don't think he realizes that she's not going to instantly calm down, have to have some level of patience... which he lacks

my child's dad is the same way ugh. in the early months he survived by holding him the "dad way" and staving off crys until i returned. i also instructed him to give a shirt or blankie that smells like me. sucking on dads fingers, a walk or drive can also be distracting and relaxing for both of them

by babies father was the same. luckily his dad was around to tell him you have to deal with her and find different ways to calm her 1.if its time for her to eat 2. dirty diaper 3.some just like being rocked to sleep 4. if just got done eating burp them 5.a bath 6. Nursery rhymes 7. nothing works try a car ride lol i use to get up at 4am for work so i had to sleep early so my so had to watch my daughter and i had to always remind him to try each and everything lol he use to go on car rides at mid night and came back with her knocked out. he'll get the hang of it mine did

Yes, I told him a list of things he could do to see what she might need. She's honestly so easy lol. I can just sit in the glider and rock her to sleep if I can tell she's tired. Her cues for everything are pretty obvious. Heck when I got home from work I was just taking to her and she was listening and eventually fell asleep in my arms. It'll just take him a few times to learn I guess, I mean I didn't know what to do right away @odalys

yeah it does. mine didnt know how and now he does, now shes always fussy with me and not him😂
