Ways to induce labor naturally?

your only 37 weeks. I can understand being uncomfortable, anxious and excited. but give it more time. try to push off inducing yourself untill atleast 40 weeks.

It's not going to make a difference ): I've decided that baby just isn't going to come out until he's ready. Doesn't matter what I do. Semen can help soften your cervix and cause contractions. But it's not going to put you into labor unless baby is ready to labor. Pineapple you have to eat in extremely large amounts and really all that's going to do is give you diarrhea which is what castor oil is going to do. You can walk to try and get baby lower but he can hang out engaged in the pelvis completely for weeks. I'm already 4-5 centimeters and 80 percent effaced. Baby is at a 0 station in my pelvis so he's full engaged. I've been walking around like this for about 2 weeks now without further progress. It's all on their clock 😭 I understand the impatience.

@christimary0, my problem is not knowing... my doctor hasn't checked for dilation or anything so I'm just oblivious. Which makes it so much worse. And I just don't want to be in the hospital on Christmas. She's due the 18th which is just a week before @allyk.xmommy @mcrowell0970

@xalyssasays, @mcrowell0970 is right. Ive been dilated 4-5 for 2 weeks. I'm due the 19th. They've told me that I could still carry all the way to my due date. They've seen women walk around like this for weeks. The only reason I know I'm dilated is because I've been in labor twice now. But both times it stopped naturally because baby decided he wasn't ready after all. The only reason I'm getting weekly checks for dilation now is because I can't really feel my contractions. So they check just to make sure I'm not walking around fully dilated about to push a baby into a toilet like one of those "I didn't know I was pregnant" episodes 😂

ask them to check you, I'm 38 wks and been checked 3 times

I had my baby at 37 weeks because I was having a repeat c section and my dr didn't want to send me home from the hospital at 4 centimeters dilated but I started having contractions 2 hours after sitting in the hospital waiting to find out what they was gonna do and they didn't give me anything to help it along so I think my daughter said she was just ready at 37 weeks lol so we went with my c section she came out healthy as can be but it's different for everyone else she was my 5th baby so I think she was just quicker than all the other ones because I didn't have my others until they reached 39 weeks I think I know what caused me to have her at 37 weeks was cleaning I scrubbed my kitchen cabinets that day

@christimary0, yeah I just hate feeling oblivious. It's my first so I barely even know if I'm having contractions or not. I get a lot of tightness, sometimes sharp pains and cramping but nothing unbearable like I'd imagine a contraction would be ... @lae1988 yeah I'm hoping she comes earlier than later but I guess we will find out what this little one wants to do

Yea I wasn't even trying to have her at 37 weeks lol I'm sure if I would have stayed home and just did normal things for a few more days I would have prob had her at home @xalyssasays

I wasn't dilating .. I did pineapple, squats & the butterfly! I dilate at least 3cm within 3days.. But I'm being induce coz I'm overdue

@mommyofavaka, see and that's the thing. I don't want to be overdue because then she will literally be born on Christmas :( and I'd hate that for her birthday to be so close or on Christmas.

I feel it..my due date was day after Thanksgiving and the anniversary of my grandma death but I still wanted her to be here on time coz it wouldve been perfect coz maternity leave wouldve ended after winter break then I couldve made it for exams but since she's late I would have to make up exams. .I feel how u feel @xalyssasays if I knew i was gonna be overdue I wouldve tried methods sooner

I know it sucks that's why even if they don't work, I'm going to try lol. I already hate that my birthday is so close to Christmas and it's 2 weeks after. It feels like my birthday doesn't exist so I can imagine how she will feel @mommyofavaka

@xalyssasays I'm born on labor day so i feel it...When my bday comes people will make excuses to not show up just coz its labor day even though most people dont even celebrate labor day... i just hate fakes 😳 thats why stop celebrating since I was 10 coz I got disappointed way to much

@mommyofavaka, yeah and imagine because Labor Day isn't even as big of a holiday as Christmas! I just hate that I always feel like even tho mine is 2 weeks after I still don't really have a birthday. I mean either way I will make sure she gets to celebrate both and feel like they are both separate holidays but I know a lot of people are going to combine them like instead of getting her a birthday present just get one for Christmas or something
