You have to work with your child. My is 6 months and he can say Mommy I loveeeeeeeeee you Daddy No Stop Get Mine Bye Hi Dad Hi Mom I love you mom I love you dad we work with our child every day we don't speak baby talk to him

when I tell you I have been trying, Lord knows I've been trying . when I say mommy or mama he will tell dad or Dada in my face and when he gets frustrated he will hit me . like his neurologist said his vocabulary is advance and he picks up fast but he just refuses to address me by mom . he will sit in my face and say ( Jozell come here) or (Jozie food) when I'm eating in front of him . No i don't think that is the reason @jozell01 you just have to continue working with him. My son said Hi Dad first then around 5 months he finally said hi mom and it was music to my ears just keep working with him he will say it . Many children tend to say Dad or Dadda first

Our daughter was the same way @bianca_rose our other two sons came early so they didn't speak until 3 and 4 they still are in speech .

That's amazing, my 6mo old still babbles, I can't even imagine her saying words so tiny lol
