they help a lot. save money. my aunt uses reusable at home and disposable while going out. I am going to do it too. it's a bit of work and you have to buy ALOT but it's worth it in the long run. make sure you get the ones that grow with baby. have buttons that adjust to make it bigger or smaller
CD is amazing i haven't used it yet but i have a full stash waiting i have watched countless tutorials im on a group in facebook and i know a few moms who do...in the begining its a lot of trial and error to fund out what works on your child what cleaning methods work for your CD. it pushes you to be more natural with your baby it's extremely healthy.ita expensive at first but what i did was a cloth diaper raffle at my shower
with poop you just roll it into the garbage. rinse it good. hand wash it as much as possible. wash them separately from everything else. once a month or every 2 weeks, my aunt fills the bathtub with hot water and bleach and lets them soak. rinses them well then washes them. it's time consuming and gross but saves money big time.

(healthier too) I've been so encouraged by CD that i want to transition to reusable menstral pads
@allyk.xmommy, cloth diapering should not be any more time consuming than your other laundry, if you have a good wash routine you should never have to strip your diapers(the bleach soak) stripping them isnt good for the pul or elastics so just beware that if you strip them as much as your aunt does, your diapers may not last long.
