Do you have to be awake during a c section?

Usually you are unless there is some medically necessary reason for you to be put all the way out

they usually keep you awake. i also have really bad anxiety but trust me when i say its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. your not gonna he focused on pain or what they're doing the only thought that will be going through your head is getting to hold the beautiful baby.

@exoticyuri, this was my first pregnancy & I had to get a c section because they said my babyboy was to "big" but I was not put asleep only half my body was numb & they had a sheet coving my other half so we couldn't see i was freaking out because all I can do was lay there and I can hear everything no pain but it was an amazing experience something I'll never forget I had a healthy baby boy 8.8 lbs and 21inch long 💕 I was 42weeks

if its a planned c section they might be able to but with emergancy ones everything happens so fast that they usually wont do it

Wow I most likely will have a c section because diabetic issues and all

I would discuss it with your dr cause they can probably give you something for your anxiety during labor without having to knock you out and having you miss the whole birth experience
