OK has this happened before. try using things with no dyes or perfumes to help what brand of soap do you use.

He's your baby you know him better than any doctor out there but if something happened and he's having a reaction to whatever he needs to be treated. Can't believe they would do that to a freaking baby :( he can't even explain how he feels. Ugh I'd be fighting everyone in there. Ur strong mama ❤️

No never. We use Johnson and Johnson lavender soap and lotion, we've used that since he was born. No new detergent, I don't wear any new perfumes and I haven't changed soap or anything like that either. No change in diet no change in foods introduced to him. I hate to put him through sitting another 5-6 hours in a hospital when they'll just say the same thing. He doesn't act like it's hurting or itching besides his face but he scratches at his face when he is sleepy so it's hard to tell if ya the rash or just the normal. I'm calling his pedi tomorrow morning first thing and may bring him there if she will see him when I get out of class tomorrow. @bria @meilin91 @pinkleopard

THANKYOU. @purpledpink what lunatic would reccomend that sort of dosage for an infant! Like sure Dr., let me just go overdose my baby when you just told me it's not even an allergy.

Actually FYI depending on how much your baby weight 5ml is not bad 23lbs or higher is actually the right dosage. Benadryl goes by weight not age.

@babyjjsmommy, that's true, esp when she says it's not an allergy. @nwhite0823 this is true, I suppose I just don't picture a 9mo old weighing that much, but it is definitely possible. But I wouldn't dose my kid up with it if the ER is telling me it's not an allergy. Why prescribe something like that? Sometimes I think that they just try and get you in and out!

He actually does weigh 23 lbs so that makes sense if that's the case. But still, like I said if it's not an allergy why introduce something like that. They should put the weight on the box instead of saying DO NOT GIVE TO CHILDREN UNDER 2. Lol @nwhite0823 @purpledpink

They should but Benadryl is one of those meds that like penicillin was back in the day it really had no effect but they swear it cured everything. Lol!

Lol exactly! @nwhite0823 My stepmom keeps saying well you just need to give him Benadryl, and I'm just like what for exactly.. if he doesn't need an antihistamine and isn't itching why just give him a foreign substance to make him sleepy. Since it's the maculopapular rash it is viral so it's just got to go away on its own, the dr. Said it's probably be up to a week before it goes away 😥
