My Nurse friends need some advice. I have been sick with this chest cold. Dizzy the past few days. My sugars have been higher then normal but not bad just a little above 120 after 2hrs of eating. I have to test my urine every morning for ketones because of my diabetes and history of Pre-eclampsia. This morning I had a moderate amount picture below. Is it because I am sick or is something else going on???

I always spill ketones when I'm sick. Start hydrating!!

@egaylep2 I hope so too. The fluids will help flush out the ketones. If it were me, I'd go to the hospital if you see high ketones. You might need IV fluids.

I am going to recheck through out the day that is what my High risk doctor told me to do just makes me nervous because I will not see him till the end of next week.

Do you have preeclampsia during this pregnancy? I had it with my first pregnancy and now I'm 9 weeks but it's too early for the preeclampsia to show up

No pre-eclampsia signs yet I normally start seeing signs around 28 weeks my babies have had to be born at 36 weeks, 34 weeks and 36 weeks because of Pre-eclampsia
