If my husband ever told me that I would be pissed. Your not the only one that created your child. He should be there not only to support you but to see his child for the first time. I feel bad for him because my husband told me it was the best moment of his life and he would redo it a hundred times. Just stay strong mama if he doesn't want to be their that's his lost. As for you you just keep your head up and see if a family member will be their while your in labor.
He feels he's entitled to say these things because according to him he is a "single guy, single for life " you're right, it is his loss. It just hurts. yeah definitely don't need that unnecessary stress right now because you're pregnant. you can do this alone, i'm sure you have close friends/family for support. you need to be strong because you're a mom now and if the father to his own child isn't even happy or there for you from the start you don't owe him anything. just know that for sure this guy will regret all of this one day when he's actually not a immature little boy.
Reading all your comment reminds me that I can do it alone. I don't know why I keep coming back to these thoughts that I need him. But my daughter and I don't. My ex husband didn't show up at the hospital. He said blood scared him so he stayed at my house and got high with the neighbors. Im sorta thankful I was the only one there. Ill always have the memory and bond with my daughter that he will never have. It may be scary but honestly once you hold your baby you wont think about anything else.
