If its brown, it would be old blood. I wouldnt be concerned about it unless its red blood. I had that when I lost my mucus plug with my first pregnancy & I still went over my due date :/ Keep an eye on it though!!

so it was my mucus plug? I have an ob appointment on Tuesday so I'm going to bring it up then for sure. just being epileptic I'm a little worried about going into labour early especially if I did lose my mucus plug

Did you see what it looked like? If it was your mucus plug it has time to regenerate! Some people lose them early & still go full term, then theres some people who lose them a couple days/weeks before they go into labour. If it was old blood, it can come out at any time without you losing your mucus plug. I find my plug was like a huge snot ball with a ting of blood & brown to it! It was hard to miss thats forsure lol

Typically doctors arent concerned about ladies losing the plug because it really doesnt indicate anything unless your having pains/red bleeding/ contractions after it.

That's completely normal, I was losing that for a few days before I gave birth. And a whole lot of it

But in your case it's probably just small pieces of your mucus plug which you can lose through out your pregnancy

@ev14, it was small and light brown and it was a clump... the first time I noticed it it was almost jelly like. and then the rest of the times it was more mucus like. it just had a light brown colour to it. thank you for your replies they made me feel a lot better. I'm really new to all of this and just never know what to think :3
