The obvious diapers wipes onsies but I didn't realize how many burp cloths and bibs I should have. Also make sure you have new born pacifiers if that's your preference, an extra changing pad I recommend a good rock and play. Also for a bath make sure it has some sort of material like mesh that will hold him up during bathing and not just some plastic tub (that's what we chose) also look into a halo swaddle that really comforts him and makes him feel like he's back in the womb and hats! Oh and the nasal thing with the ball they're going to give you one in the hospital make sure you take that home with you :) and having a thermometer is always nice to have on hand. I also really like the pants that have feet on them because socks never seem to stay!
a boppy is definetly a must have and a bouncer! nail clippers cause their nails grow fast and are razor thin. also get those hand mittens just incase his nails do get long or hands get cold oh and the best pjs to have are the ones that look like dresses the have a scrunched up bottom like sweet pea on popeye, for boys and girls cause it makes midnight diaper changes super easy.
Make sure you have some medicine too. Like infant Tylenol, cough medicine, gripe water etc.. you never know when baby will need it and it's be good to have it on hand
