I have a question for the ones who had/has gestational diabetes. or even regular diabetes that turned into gd since u got prego like me... when your belly is hard and there's not really any fat to put the insulin pin into where do u put it that doesn't hurt? I was told u have to stick it in fat and right now the bottom of my tummy is the only place that has fat still but it hurts now..

Question to get gd did you have to be diabetic before you got pregnant or can you get gd anytime through you pregnancy

u can get it any time and it should go away if it's just gd. but u r at risk of getting it later in life.. but I had it 2 yrs before pregnancy just not on insulin til I got pregnant @ccortez

Oh wow I just get worried cuz I now my Dr was worried about it before I got pregnant and he wanted to get a little healthier before we had this whole plan to help but I got pregnant way before he thought I would. so he had me on a med called metformin which I am told it's a med for diabetes but he told me it was to control what he said was pcos does this make since or was this his way of saying I needed to think about losing some bad weight before I carry a baby

ya. I was on that for a yr then I was managing it without then 1-2 yrs later I get pregnant and my ob put me on insulin.. but my friend is in the same boat u r and u could stay on metpformin the hole time but u need to watch ur sugars or u could be put on insulin @ccortez
