If my starting weight was 117 how much weight should I gain? I'm 5'2 and I'm 15.

I'm 19 , 5'4 , & my staring weight was 140 . I gained 20 pounds , but it literally was all belly . I didn't even look like I weighed 160 . I think the it varys .. I had a friend who was like 4'9 & gained almost 40 pounds . It's different with everyone .

In any pregnancy the weight gain is 20-35 lbs. of course everyone is different but age doesn't play a roll in this.! I'm 5'2" & my start was 118 I'm 140 now & 31/32 weeks pregnant.!

They say 25-35 pounds is considered all baby weight due to the placenta, boobs, uterus, amniotic fluid, water retention, etc. all things necessary for a healthy pregnancy. I'm currently at the 40 pound mark and my doctor isn't worried about it. Being young and breastfeeding, you'll drop the weight really fast afterwards. Breastfeeding burns a ridiculous amount of calories.
