i know lots of people are busy so this may not get answered. babies can't have milk until they are older. so since homemade mashed potatoes are made with milk... can my 7 month old son try some?

Yes he should be fine! My son ate mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, ect before he was one. They say you can give yogurt before 1 too so I think it's just straight milk that is off limits.

He'll be fine. I've given my daughter homemade mash potatoes before and she's 7 months as well. As long as its not straight milk your fine giving him pretty much anything that's made with dairy. 😊 I'm getting ready to let my daughter go to town on some mash potatoes and gravy right now.

Yes! I think the concern is they NEED breastmilk or formula until they are 1yr and dont want parents thinking milk is an appropriate substitute when ita not.
