are you more likely to tear if labour is induced?

Yes. I got a 3rd degree tear first and second birth unfortunately. But Max was distressed & I needed forceps to help get him out. After talking with my midwife she reckons I have an odd shape pelvis which makes it hard for them to come out. As painful as it was after it didn't take as long time heal & I have had any long term affects like I did first time!

I haven't had my first midwife appointment yet but I think I will discuss it with her to thanks @sara-lou

I was told statistically 93% of women who tear first time don't second so I thought I'd be OK. But wasn't the case for me lol

@nailah I've heard doing a massage down there and having a water birth can reduce the chances :) xx
