I had my husband put our daughter to bed around 6:30pm while I did my homework. I thought since he doesn't have work because of the holiday he could help out. He continuously asked me to help him. All he had to do was put a new sheet on our daughter's bed, put her in her pj's, make a bottle, brush her teeth, read her some books, give her a little cuddling, then lay her down for the night. He was so flustered and he thought he couldn't do it all on his own. I told him "I do this every night and so much more, while your at work. You can do it." He then looked at me and said "but I'm not a super mom like you. I can't multitask and I can't do things like you do. Your so much better at all of this." I just looked at him and smiled and told him he could do it and to do start with her sheets, then pj's bottle, teeth, book/cuddles then bed time. I think he realized at that moment that my job as a stay at home mom/wife is much harder than he realizes. I feel as though he really appreciates everything I do for our family. I may not help with income but I have a job that's so much harder than most paying job out there. I am a stay at home mom and my job never ends. I work through the night, the weekends, on sick days and holidays. I am the cook, the maid, the nurse, the advisor, the comforter, the wife, the mother, the full time college student and the alarm clock. I don't get vacation days but I wouldn't want it any other way.
