OK I know this sounds stupid but I never had to make my own turkey does anyone have any suggestions what time I should start cooking it And seasonings I should use?

Google haha... I made my first last year, starting about 5:30am and buttered it every couple hours. I had onions in the cavity... I don't remember what seasonings... good luck

Depends on you and your family's taste. I used a mixture of a lot of stuff lol. And the time depends on how big the bird is. The bigger, the earlier you want to start. It's my first time too though. I did my turkey tonight. It's still cooking. 😣

I rub my turkey down with olive oil, I make sure to massage under the skin lightly and I salt and pepper the inside of the cavity and put onion chunks, lemon, butter and thyme in the cavity. I usually rub the outside of the bird with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and basil. remember that if your bird starts browning too fast you can cover the skin with foil and that will stop it from browning
