So I went to the doctor today and now I'm a wreck. I'm still 1cm dilated and 80% effaced but my cervix is up high so induction will definitely be needed but now I feel like that almost makes it definite that I'll be having a c section. I just want to cry 😭

@1xmom, yes I'm only 1cm and 80% effaced but hopefully both of us can deliver naturally with no issues
@shonce, I'm right with you.. my doctor checked my cervix this morning and I don't know how efaced I am but I have no dilation and my cervix is still up way high. She said that if I get induced I'm at a high risk of a cesarean because I'm not dilated, while its true that induction gives you a higher chance of it, the petosin that they give you helps your uterus thin out and dilate. there is still a good chance of delivering naturally; they just want you to be aware that you have a higher risk of a cesarean.

does not mean you will have to have a c section the said something along the lines of that when I had my first They gave me petosin after induction it makes you dialate then in turn go into labor and deliver
