Why so many new moms/moms-to-be *insist* they aren't going to give their babies screen time? I did it, too. I swore up and down she wouldn't be allowed to play with my phone or plopped in front of the TV. But now I realize there are so many educational kids shows and games that can keep her entertained and calm while I get stuff done. It's a godsend, really.

I was really on the fence about it, but I had a conversation with a friend of mine who has 3 kids under 10 and he mentioned that technology is the future. It's advancing more rapidly each year than it was 20 years ago. Idk. I still feel guilty if all my son has wanted to do is watch TV while playing with his toys instead of playing with me or going outside. Just one of those things about motherhood you just have to be biased about but work around your child's needs/wants.
