Thinking about seeing if I qualify to take college courses for Criminal Justice (eliminates the need for Academy when hired) or if I should just wait and plow through the 6 week Academy session that's 6+ hours away when/if the time comes. I've already shadowed with my Department of choice and chose my level (Deputy with the County) and they said I'd have a secure shot when I'm of age and have my breathing under control. I'm working with a group of LEOs who are willing to help me train and do strength tests and workouts after Thanksgiving, too. Now I just have to figure out if I want to spend the money to do college courses and be closer to my girl or wait and have the Department pay for the Academy so I'm away from my daughter for a whole 6 weeks. Hmmm....decisions, decisions...
