me and my husband have made a final decision that we are not going to have a baby shower. we do not want to deal with people being negative and talking bs when we are excited to meet our little girl. the people my mom was planning on inviting was people we do not approve of and it was just asking for a disaster. i told my dad that we have decided to just buy everything ourselves because we can afford it and it will just be alot easier, and him and my grandpa said no. that they are going to have my dads side of the family buy everything we need. i feel like crap having them buy for us, but my dad just keeps saying you guys save your money and got out of your moms and do not worry about anything else. i appreciate they want to help, but i just feel wrong and like we should be buying everything.

Listen to him! Save your money. I know exactly how you feel because I'm the same way, but speaking from experience, take as much help as you can get! Especially if it'll help you get out of your family's house sooner

yea you are right. it is around Christmas time anyways so that will be our christmas presents. just worried we wont have everything in time, but if we save the money we will be able to get it if we do not have it. we really do need to get outta here. not good for our baby or us to be here with my moms boyfriend and his kid @threeplusone2016 it is defiantly easier being away from them

Trust me a baby shower is very helpful . I didn't think We needed one until after we opened up the gifts ; there was so many things that we needed . We also got 1500 in cash 😬lol

my husband and I were really fortunate to be able to buy everything we need for our baby. i had told my sister's and mom.. not to make me a baby shower and that i would be really upset (long story)... last month they surprised us with a baby shower. i have to say it was really nice and i was happy... we got many many things and the right people were there.
