So I wonder did my dr assume I wasn't dilated because my cervix was high. I'm also confused because if you couldn't reach my cervix how do you know my cervix is short? This don't make sense. Can anyone explain?

@rocd, I'm due on the 12, but today I was measuring between 37 and 38 weeks... My doc told me my cervix was stretchy..

I was measuring at 39... I need this lil boy to drop it or some. How much pressure I have on my pelvis and vagina. I would of thought I was about 3 cm. lol. But I pray I go into labor soon. @mocheeks

when a cervix is high that usually means is closed if they can't reach it. when you start to dilate your cervix will move down and become shorter which means lower.

Google effacement and it'll tell you bc it's hard to explain. I get what he means now. just hard to explain. a cervix starts out long and shortens as baby gets lower
