It gets better. U just have to continuously go out on rides and take him. My son used to be the same as soon as we would get in the car he would cry. But he started going to daycare so we had to travel everyday and then he got used to it. U can try getting a mirror where he will be able to see u. Sometimes it's just the fact he can't see u.

Mine was the same way, nothing worked. She stopped on her own around 5 mos.

My sister has the same problem with her daughter. She hasn't quite found anything that works as if yet.
