When registering my babies birth do me and babies dad need to take any ID?

@winterbaby95, did they ask for it? my ex doesn't have ID till February or something so think I'm gonna have to register baby without his name on it and then again when he gets his ID, just wanna be prepared haha xx

I never got asked for ID, all I got asked was basic details and what il be naming bubs xx

They asked us to bring along our passport but she did say it was more to make sure spellings of names were correct etc.

I was asked for ID not my husband as we are married. Not the same if you aren't. Just take both ID just incase

@mrsnelly2013, yeah we definitely aren't married haha! will give the registry place a call when the baby is here and see what they say..babies dad won't have ID till February so think if there needs to be ID I'll register him and then add babies dads name to birth certificate when he gets it xx

I'm sure they will be fine with just your ID, yes ring them first & find out

I register my little girl last week and took ID for me (driving license, my birth certificate and a utility bill) but the lady never asked to see them? @stephyb95
