@beebaby, @breezy1993 the initial report says sids medical examiner told the cops suffocation ok how when he was on his back nothing around or near him nothing is adding up I know SIDS is suffocation but how if there is nothing around for them to suffocate?

Wow I'm so sorry your even faced with the thought of this. I would talk to the police and explain what's going on and see if they can at least question her she might lie but sometimes cops can tell if someone is lying so maybe they would push the issue further. Was she with him at all prior? Sorry mama

Maybe call the medical examiner more questions? I'm sure they can explain so much more to you and then you can decide where to go from there. I'm sorry for your loss I don't know what you are going through but I know it must be hard. I will be praying for your family. @angelmattsmommy87

Was he perhaps placed on a pillow or boppy pillow? If she placed him on something like that and he went chin to chest he wouldn't have been able to breath. SIDS mostly has to do with kids brains and them forgetting to breathe, medical examiners will add cases of kids being accidentally smothered etc. it they're two different things. Just a thought if she had suffocated they would find damage in his mouth or nose from it. Idk if she had something to do with it or not. I would just contact the medical examiner or officers again, did they know she was staying with you? Perhaps they can contact her.
