Bottle feeding isn't bad! I've formula fed my little girl since she was born... Does that make me a bad mum?! No, because she has a full belly and that's all that matters xxx

I was bottle fed, I just wanted to try because of the benefits. Depending on which midwife i see they can make you feel bad for giving a bottle. Her being fed, full and happy is the only thing i care about. I cant get a good latch with her she pulls my nipples apart its so painful. I was content with bottle feeding if I couldn't breastfeed but I dont wanna be made feel bad about it @daisysmummy xx

@abbiegale, i combined fed for roughly 4 weeks, he had bottles at night to give me a break and allow hubby to help but i wasnt producing enough milk so had to cut out the breast totally.. i felt like a failure and was such a wreck but luckily i had a lovely midwife and health visotor.. my hv said something that at the time i didnt think much of but now i do.. happy mum = happy baby

took me a week or so to stop feeling shitty but my boy was happy and i was happy and thats all i wanted.. 3 months on my boy is a chunk, hes happy and developing above his age.. i gave breastfeeding a go which im proud of but it just wasnt for us.. never feel bad and dont let anyone make you feel bad for not being able to do it.. youve given it a go but if it causing you pain then its not worth it as ul be unhappy, sore and ur little one will pick up on that.. you have ur daughters best interests at heart, thats clear to see so that makes you an amazing mum to her.. how shes fed doesn't define that at all.. so chin up missy and follow ur gut on what you should do and know that either way ur still an amazing mum xx

don't let anyone make you feel like a bad mum for not breastfeeding. i struggled with latching Melody on. i was crying constantly about it. and i ended up expressing, which may i add ended up being more stressful than getting her to latch. i couldn't pump enough so i swapped to formula and its the best thing i ever did. she is happy and healthy and developing really well and i am enjoying being a mummy. Breastfeeding isn't for everyone hun and in this day in age, midwives should keep their opinions to themselves and just give you the facts to help you decide. here if you need to vent hun xxx

The fact that you are worrying just proves that you are a fantastic mum. Believe in yourself. As long as she is fed does it matter if it's bottle or breast .

Thank you everyone! Im just pumping and bottle feeding atm. As long as im trying then thats what matters! Thank yoy for making me feel better about my choices. Had health visitor around to weigh ruby and give her the heal prick and shes told me same as you guys and said that ruby is really nice and healthy and well behaved and that makes me feel proud @barnold @h04 @charliebrown89 @mrsmowmow xxx

Seth was the exact same Hun! He had a tongue tie so I struggled to latch but when the breastfeeding consultant came to help he latched with no problem but when she left I couldn't do it again, I pumped my milk for about 3/4 weeks and gave him breastmilk in a bottle but that was so draining and my milk ended up running out anyway so I had to move to formula which made me feel awful, but formula feeding doesn't make you a bad mum! At the end of the day a fed baby is what's best whether it's breast or formula x

Shes not got a tongue tie my nipples have just grown so much I can't see what im doing and because i try breastfeed her she goes with out food for a little bit then goes on a frantic suck and it hurts but iv gave her formula and breast milk as long as im trying that should be all that matters. Well main thing is her being fed so @sophgreenx xxx

don't worry about it hun! it doesn't matter how you feed her as long as she's fed. if formula was so bad, they wouldn't of been selling it for years. also fed is best. happy mum happy baby. if you're stressed about it, it will be harder for you to do it and will just get you more worked up. Anyway noone knows your baby better than you do. do what's best in your opinion, noone else matters :-) keep strong xx
