My daughter is 4 months but 19 wks old tomorrow. I started about a week and a half ago on first foods. I'm not going to lie, my ped said only oatmeal cereal for like the first few weeks... but she wants NOTHING to do with it lol. I did do apples, bananas, and sweet potato so far (wait 2-3 days between to rule out allergies) my kid went crazy for it!! She absolutely loves the sweet potato more than anything, it is so cute! I knew she was ready because she showed a lot of cues - smacking her lips while we're eating, yelling at us (lmfao) while we're eating, and staring at us while eating. I don't give her too much, but she absolutely loves it. I would follow your ped but also ur best judgement. My daughter also has had my sauce lmfao 😂 loves it.
our pediatrician cleared us for cereal, but mostly because my LO still is waking up 2-4 times a night. we are hoping that the extra calories during the day will help her sleep better at night

4 months is the earliest. Generally doctors recommend waiting until 6 months. In the end....the honest truth is " Food before 1 is just for fun". So with that said, i think consulting the pediatrician and getting an answer based off of your childs development as an individual is the best idea.
It's completely up to you, stage 1 foods start at 4 months. Just take it slow and only introduce 1 food at a time. Have you talked to her dr about starting food?
