Tomorrow I'm traveling in the car for 12 hours with my 2 month old. Any tips?
We got back a few weeks ago from a 10 HR one way trip with a 2 month old! What we did was made sure he was fed before we left and he usually falls asleep within 10 min of driving, so he slept for the first 2/3 hours and when he woke up we stopped at a travel center, got baby out and let him stretch a bit as we changed him and then put him back in. He fed him whilst riding which is difficult (he's formula fed but bottle in his mouth is still difficult) and then he'd play for a bit before crashing again. We just repeated the stops as necessary. If he was getting just super crazy, we'd pull over and I'd get him out and walk him around outside for a min before returning to car seat. When we made it to IL, he was laid out on the floor for a while
Yeah this is 12 hours one way, through the mountains so I'm nervous... I'm hoping she will do that good! I planned on feeding her before we left and we are leaving before she is usually awake in the morning so hopefully she will sleep awhile. I pump/breast feed so I'm sure I'll be pumping bottles for her in the car lol @heyycodyyy
