I was told they have to be 2 or a certain weight to face forward I would check with ur local fire department they installed all of my kids car seats

It used to be a year. Now it's two or whenever they get too long-legged to fit rear-facing

They have to seat rear facing until age 2. That is what the law says for car seat safety. I have since parent with their kids facing forward and it dangerous if have an accident. With my first child I turned him around at one because I did know any better but that was 8 years ago.
