My son has been sleeping for an hour in his crib! Yay. I just had to make sure he was breathing 😳

Sometimes they breath so quietly is alarming!!

When he was first born I was laying there with him in the hospital and it looked like he stopped breathing! And I yelled to my ex who was sleeping, I'm like Andy, i don't think he's breathing!! He jumped up so fast and ran over to check and sure enough he was but it scared us. the nurses said newborns sometimes forget to breathe so it may have been that.@elisalarrea

I can only imagine this is what I'm gunna be like when I have my baby!!! It's so weird when babies actually sleep for long periods of time, I got so scared a couple of times baby sitting my nephew and he was just quiet for 2 hours.... ARE YOU ALIVE?!? That's great though!!! Your baby is sleeping just fine 🍼😄

Lol @jaimelee that was my exact thought just now. Usually I sleep when he does and normally he's with me so now that he is being made to sleep in his crib I was awake ( shouldn't of been) but I'm like is he alive?!! I stuck my finger under his nose and it was warm lol cause he's swaddled so I couldnt look to see his chest rising

Yea that's what I heard as well; the nurse told me that is why sometimes they do like little jumps. That is their body telling them to breath

That's one reason why I swaddle him because he jumps in his sleep throwing his hands up and wakes himself up. @Elisalarrea
