Moms who had pre eclampsia did your symptoms ever come back after birth ? I've been short of breath, sharp pain in my chest, dizzy, and blurred vision. These are all the symptoms that lead to me having pre eclampsia and now I'm getting them again

It's possible to get it after giving birth.. that's what happened to me but I didn't know I had it. I went to the ER for neck pain & my pressure was 170/110

Yea they wouldn't let me go home.. I had to stay over night. I was transferred to ICU & everything 🙄

Yes it can stay after birth, I had it for 3 months after I had my daughter. My doctor that delivered my baby was a fucking moron and let it go. Vision loss, horrid headaches, dizzy spells, my skin even changed color. After I had my daughter it didn't go away. She prescribed me pills that made it worse. I had a headache that lasted 3 whole days! I went back and all she said was "that's not normal"
I switch doctors and the prescribed me something else (this was almost 3 months after the birth and headaches were off and on). About two weeks after that, my blood pressure returned to normal.

You can buy a digital bp monitor to check on it or go to a pharmacy (like walmart) and use theirs.

Yep I still have it. I'm on blood pressure medicine now and they even had to up my dosage. I still get the horrible headaches. I go to the ob once a week until it's more controlled
