I have a somewhat awkward question for any moms that have had an episiotomy. I was cut after almost two hours of pushing which resulted in 8 stitches.. the first day my pad was filled with mostly blood and nothing else. Now my pad is filled with light blood but when I stand up I feel a lot of gushing, as if I'm peeing myself.. when I look in the pad there's no yellow just clear liquid and blood and it doesn't smell.. does anyone know what this is? My doctor never told me to watch out for things like this so I have no clue 🙀

@moorrggiee, mine didn't ever do that. I'd definitely call the doctor to make sure that's normal. it doesn't sound alarming because it could just be discharge but better safe then sorry! good luck!

I did that with my first. I tore from one hole to the other. It was really bad. The doctors explained to me that it wasnt urine. It was almost like a discharge. Just my body getting all that out.

@randaroo, okay thank you!!! Yes he cut me wide open so I'm hoping it's just discharge like you said

i didnt get cut but I ripped, when I left the hospital they gave me a little booklet with things to expect and one of the things said once the blood starts to lighten up I might notice yellow or white discharge along with it, which I have! pretty sure it's normal
