I only got to breastfeed for 2.5 months. My period came today, so I know my breastfeeding is basically over. Sucks that I couldn't do it longer, I have made an appointment to go to the doctor to get put on BC.

I was meaning that my doctor was telling me that if I was sufficiently breast feeding it would last atleast 6 months before having a period and I only made it to 2.5 months. I knew my supply was decreasing but now I'm sure I'm not making enough. @hiswifetheirmama

Just because you got your period does not mean that your supply is decreasing. Maybe you misunderstood your doctor?
