Labor and delivery story...
So on Monday October 24 at 7am i went in for an induction, they induced with oxytocin and i had very strong contractions for 10 1/2 hours. (Strangely I could barely feel them) but the attempt at induction failed, i was only 1.5 cm dilated. so they stopped oxytocin and let me eat, gave me about a four hour break. Then around 10pm they started the oxytocin again, and i fell asleep until about 4:15am when contractions became painful... nurse checked me and i was 4cm dilated. About 10 minutes past 5am my water broke while i was sleeping and scared me half to death 😂 but hey I'm probably not the only person who knows whAt it feels like to wet the bed huh? I immediately got an epidural, after my water broke my contractions became unbearable. Lets just say that the epidural made me feel like i had no lower half, that thing was strong!! So around 8 am they checked my cervix again and i was still around 4cm.. my nurse got switched due to shift change, and the new nurse brought in a peanut exercise ball and positioned me on my side with one leg on the ball. I slept for about an hour and woke up to very slight pressure in my pelvic region... keep in mind i could barely feel anything so the pressure startled me. I called my nurse into the room while my husband, mom, and mother-in-law sat across the room on the couch, the nurse said "alright lets check your cervix!" About two seconds later she lifted the sheets and said "oh! His head is right there! Lets deliver us a baby!!" I swear my husband leapt out of his skin when he heard that 😂😂 he was so excited. I started trembling from excitement of finally getting to see our son. Our mothers rushed over to me while my husband helped the nurse roll me into position and spread my legs while we waited for my doctor. One other nurse was running back and forth checking baby's heart rate and my contractions... my main nurse started helping me practice pushing, while we waited 45 minutes for my doctor to arrive because of traffic!! (Apparently there was an accident on the way to the hospital!) when she got there they immediately got me pushing, and with 3 contractions in 10 minutes at 10:17am on October 25 i pushed out a 7lb 13oz baby boy named Jax who was 20 1/2 inches long 😍💜💜 my husband cut the cord while Jax rested on my chest, i bawled my eyes out because of how beautiful he was. I had two first degree tears, and four stitches. Very lucky for a first baby 💜 i wish all mothers good luck with thier delivery!! God knows the aftermath is the part i most despised.... 💪🏼😇🙏🏼 total labor and delivery time: 27 hours
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.
